DISCUSS REVIEW
It seems as if racing games on the PC have been hard to come by, no wait, let me rephrase that. It seems as if good racing games on the PC are hard to come by. There have been plenty of good racing games on the PC such as Midtown Madness 2 and Need For Speed: Porsche 2000. Both those games now are fairly old but are still good to play both in single and multiplayer modes. I can fondly remember some heated racing moments playing Need For Speed: Porsche 2000 with my mates.

Supercar Street Challenge (SSC) is the most recent racing game by Activision. During months that lead up to SSC release, both Steve and I were eagerly awaiting its release with baited breath, after seeing awesome pictures in magazines, which gave glimpses of what was to come. There were plenty of advertisements in many different magazines both PC and car magazines alike, which showed us what we always wanted to do. Create our own cars with which to race each other in.

Activision is one of the biggest computer game publishers around, and they have been involved with and created many landmark titles, such as the Mechwarrior and Quake series. Another game that is well worth a mention would be Tony Hawks Pro Skater. This game has been extremely popular across all platforms, PC and console, showing that Activision not only knows how to make great games, but is also able to make great games. These are just a few titles that show what a powerhouse game publisher/developer Activision is.

Supercar Street Challenge places you in the drivers seat of several different supercars, which some have been modeled after their real life counterparts, for example the Saleen S7. Not only can you take control of many already built supercars but there is also a new feature which lets you totally customize your very own supercar. I will go into more detail on this feature later. I tend to find that a game that tries to bring something new to the genre has the ability to become a classic but sometimes thing go horribly wrong.
